Axis and Allies is the COOLEST board game in the entire world!
It's no so complicated that a youngster can't figure it out and it's
not so easy that it's aimed just at 3 year-olds (there are small
parts that present a choking hazard to children under 3). It
combines strategy, economy, creativity and persistence- single
games can last for days. If you become good enough at it, you
might also make up your own rules or create your own units.
Every side has an equal chance of winning, it just depends on
how you play it. There are no rules as to where you can't go.
You can build up giant land or sea armies and attack as you
wish- each new country you conquer gives you more money-
until you capture the capital of your enemy, then they are out of
the game. Go crazy and combine two sets so you have huge
amounts of forces and an enormous pocketbook to pay with it
all. Establish factories in conqured lands and produce even
more forces. Basically, it's a kick ass free for all, using the
entire globe of World War II as your battlefield. And it's not so
detailed that you get lost in the rules and proceedures as one
might in other WWII games. It's a fun game that can't be beat.
