Over the years I have had many rental vehicles. Some from insurance claims and others for recreational purposes. Ever since I found a local car rental shop that would over look the fact that I was well under the age limit for renting anything larger than a Geo Metro (25yoa) I have kept going back for the latest and greatest SUVs and pickup trucks. This would commonly involve a weekend road trip Vegas or a gas waisting search for an illicit off road adventure. Below are just a few of the most memorable rental occasions. A related side note, always get Full Insurance Coverage and make sure youll have a pressure washer handy before the renatl return date.
One of the first and best rental to Date. Lance and I rented this 03 Silverado to haul some work junk down to San Diego. Just so happened that a rain storm had been settled over most of So Cal that week and well, we found some mud. I wish we had taken more pictures. Keep in mind, when looking at the pictures, this truck was brand new and had less than 200 miles on the odometer. Forrest Lawn Mud Pit Rules!!

Here is a 04' Dodge Ram I picked up to make the trek up to see Lance for his birthday. It was a 2x4 but it made up for its lack of off road skills with its very adequate 5.8 Hemi V8.

Here we were about 1/3 the way around the backwoods surrounding Flagstaff Airport. See the Road Trip Page to check out the mud pit Just out of frame in the pic.

Poor Poor Poor 2X4. Its hard to tell in this picture you are looking down a pretty steep hill. Street tires and little weight on the drive tires made this hill a challenge. All said and done we added a few thousand miles onto this truck that only had about 1000 miles to begin with. I have to say I was very impressed with the way it took a very impromto jump in the back wood behind the airport. Looking back I am surprised it made it back in one piece. The rental shop never did mention the missing air damn and front licence plate.
